A LITTLE SPACE FOR A DIFFERENT CONVERSATION

When the conversation becomes a familiar loop.

When the conversation becomes a familiar loop.

What gets said.

The same disagreement. The missed conversation. The moment one of you reaches out and the other pulls back. You may be looking for a way to talk that feels less repetitive.

What stays underneath.

The wish to feel understood. A need that is hard to name. Different expectations about closeness, responsibility, or change. There can be more to explore than the immediate disagreement.

WORKING TOGETHER

A conversation about the relationship you share.

A conversation about the relationship you share.

I bring warmth, honesty, and a little humor to conversations that can feel difficult to begin. I draw from emotion-focused therapy and the Gottman Method to explore emotions, communication, and patterns between partners. We’ll discuss what you each want from therapy and choose an approach together, with room for both perspectives.

A FEW QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you reach out.

Before you reach out.

Can we ask about therapy before we know our goals?

Yes. You can begin with an inquiry about what has been difficult between you. We can discuss whether working together would be a fit and what you would each hope to explore.

How is couples work different from individual relationship work?

Couples work focuses on the relationship with both partners involved. Individual therapy offers space to explore your own experiences, needs and patterns. We can discuss which service you are looking for.

What if we have different perspectives?

You do not need to send one agreed-upon account of the relationship. In your inquiry, briefly describe what you hope to understand or change, without sharing sensitive details by email or text.

How do we confirm the format, fees and availability?

Couples sessions are online and approximately 50 minutes, with a private-pay rate of $145. Both partners must be physically located in California during sessions. Reach out through the contact form, email, or text to ask about availability or a free 15-minute phone or video consultation. Insurance coverage should be checked for your specific plan before treatment.

Ask about fit and current availability. You do not need to work out every detail before sending a brief inquiry.

Please keep your first message brief. Email and text are for initial questions and scheduling, not sensitive clinical details.
